New 2012 Child DLA forms was created by MrsMiniver
Hello, I am new to benefitsandwork.co.uk and I am currently completing a DLA renewal for my daughter and I have a couple of questions. They have changed the form since last time (2009)and I am struggling with some of the questions.
Q38 Washing, bathing - how many times per day varies, depending on if she has soiled herself and how long each time varies, depending on her mood (she has ASD)
Q40 eating and drinking it is hard to say how long each time, it varies, it can take her only 10 mins to eat a meal or 30mins+
I am finding the new forms difficult - I thought that they were meant to be more simple, but they seem to have more pitfalls if you are not careful.
Last time I just put "constant" down for some of the answers when asked how often during the day and for how long. Can I still do this? I have contacted a local benefits advice office but they are very busy and cant help at the moment.
Thank you for any help and advice I am really worried about this. She has MRC and no mobilty at the moment.

Have you looked at the relevant sections in our "Disability Living Allowance claims for Children on Physical Health Grounds" guide, see

Thank you Gordon- I was using the mental health guide, as my daughter has ASD. I will look at the other guide.
I had hoped that I would be able to copy a lot from my previus forms; I'm sure that they changed the forms to stop people cutting and pasting!
