As I understand it, there is no defined schedule for when WFIs should be held, your JC+ advisor is supposed to schedule the appointments in-line with your preperations for returning to work, of course, if your health is not improving, they may be at a loss what to do with you :)

Hi Gordon

Son has had 2 WFI's and she doesn't want to see him again for 3 months - they don't know what to do with him (is this good or bad news?) - my question is - does the JC advisor and DWP speak to each other? appeal has been lodged and Welfare Rights have asked them to have another look at our claim to be in the support group

JC+ is geared to getting claimants back into work, they really don't know what to do with the significant number of claimants where there is no prospect of this in the forseeable future, so I wouldn't worry about their deferring his next appointment for a couple of months.

JC+ is part of the DWP, so undoubtedly his advisor will know that an appeal has been lodged.

She knows because I have told her - but what I want to know is do they consult with each other? - JC has put us in touch with two organisations (one of them from the council) and neither of them can help - because of son's disabilities (to severe for them to find work for) - the JC knows this too - but would she pass that info on to the DWP people?

It might be recorded on your son's file, but it is highly unlikely that this informatiob will be referenced in regard to his appeal.
