All DLA claimants of working age will be transferred from their existing DLA claim to PIP from late 2013 onwards. All claimants will be re-asessed, although this may not mean a new medical, awards are still under discussion, but I believe will now extend from 1 year to an indefinite award, although as now, this does not mean that a claimant will not be re-assessed.

There is a Spotlight post about PIP, the replacement for DLA. at the top of the forum.Hi again now that my ESA claim has been sorted out I’m just wondering about my claim for disability allowance – I have been awarded it 6 years ago for an indefinite period. Presumably by disability allowance you mean Disability Living Allowance (DLA), if so then as from 2013 DLA will be changing to Personal Independence Payment (PIP)
Full details of the transition from DLA to PIP can be found in the Spotlights area of the forum

Please note, moderators cannot reply to requests for individual advice, all we are allowed to do is to explain how the system works, or for PIP, how it will work when introduced for existing DLA claimants who will be reassessed between 2013 to 2016.
