ESA question. was created by Noodles
The first stage of my IB to ESA transfer began 2 weeks ago when the ESA50 form along with 23 supporting documents including Doctors and Surgeons reports ect where all sent to the address of the return envelope by recorded delivery. Also included was the B&W downloaded request letter for any face to face to be recorded in the event of,and another copy of everything was sent to the DWP office that is currently dealing with my IB changeover as suggested by some B&W posters via this forum.

Question : Will ATOS now get back to me via the phone with what happens next,or is any decision or the next stage usually via a letter,or even both perhaps ?

The next stage is for ATOS to carry out a pre-board check to see whether a WCA assessment is required.

If it is not, then your file with be returned to the DWP with a recommendation on your award, a DWP Decision maker will then make a Decision on your claim and this will be notified in writing.

If an assessment is required, then the ATOS scheduling department will try and contact you by phone to arrange the appointment, if they cannot contact you, they will write to you with the next available appointment date.

Thanks Gordon.

Despite looking, could you tell me if those who ask for their WCA to be recorded usually have to wait even longer for assessment appointment dates ?

Sorry to be a pain, but this whole process is so stressful again.

Yes, the excuse being the scarcity of recording equipment across the country.

Thanks Mrs Hurtyback your all stars.

Seems like a lot of people are making phones calls left right and centre at the minute to find out not only where they are in the 'queue',but if the damn form arrived at all ? Think I might just sit this one out for now as its barely 3 weeks since my ESA 50 went in with supporting documents containing Assessment recording request ect.

Question: Given the apparent delays,at what point,if at all,would/should any such 'phone call' be considered sensible in the process as my documents (like a lot of others)where all sent recorded delivery as suggested by B&W btw ?

So stressed
