I have recently returned my ESA50 and they have received it.

Is it possible that they could look at the questionnaire and any evidence and return it to the DWP stating that I should be placed in the WRAG or Support Group?

Is this a known possibility?

WD

Yes WD,

Many members have been awarded WRAG or SG without the need for a face to face assessment.

Can they ask you to attend a medixal on a Saturday or Sunday?

and how likely is it to happen?

I believe that the ATOS HealthCare Centres are now open on Saturdays and I have heard ATOS "doctors" doing home medicals ona Sunday.

You don't have to accept the appointment, but declining it may well count as one of your two appointments before they return your file to the DWP.

Hi WD,

I believe than some assessment centres are carrying out assessments at the weekend. It will vary from area to area dependant on their work load and staffing levels, etc.

You can check where your nearest assessment centre is, here :

www.atoshealthcare.com/claimants/locations_home

Remember, they do have to give you at least 7 days notice, and you are allowed to re-arrange once.

It is not a definate that you will have to attend a face to face, so try not to get too stressed about it.

I am fully aware that we are able to takes notes in the Face to Face Assessment.

Are we permitted to ask any questions throughout the procedure or do we have to sit quietly and listen at all times.

I we do ask questions would this go against you?

What sort of questions would you recommend we ask, any ideas?

Regards.

Are you asking as the claimant or a companion?

I have to say, based on my own experience and others reported on the forum, most ATOS assessors are not overly keen on being asked questions during the assessment.

As the claimant I think it reasonable for you to ask about anything that is not clear to you during the interview.

As a companion, whilst it should be acceptable to you to add our own comments to that of the claimant, where the claimant has failed to explain themselves adequately or have left out important details, I think you should be circumspect in asking questions as this is likely to be seen as your being obstructive by the assessor and could result in you being asked to leave the room or the assessment being stopped.
