ESA/DLA Review dates was created by nada678
Hello

Does anyone know if ESA or DLA review dates ever happen
later than shown on the letters, like my transfer from
Incapacity Benefit did ( a year later than on the letter)?

I am asking because my review dates for both benefits
are within a month of each other, and I am worried
about having to ask my doctor for two seperate letters
of support at the same time.

I know I won't be able to use the same letter for
both benefits, although my doctor might ask me to.

Thank you

DLA is awarded for a fixed period of time. forms are usually sent out several months in advance so that there is little/no break in payment.

ESA is an indefinate award and the re-assessment dates are only advisory. Time will tell whether the recommendations will be adhered to or not.

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems
