Well, I've no received a letter saying that my benefit was ended last week due to time limits.

This really is not good enough. The last thing I heard from them was 12 months ago when I had the letter saying that there was the likelihood of time limitation and that we would be notified again.

The letter does say about applying for ESA Income but not a lot else, no useful info re other options such as contacting Tax Credit people.

I have written a complaint saying that they have failed to meet their responsibilities as they did not notify me 8 weeks in advance. I have also quoted some of their own paperwork which said that a letter would be sent, followed by a phone call and further contact if no response as none of that has occurred.

We are now almost £100pw worse off. I had been in receipt of IB since 2004,suddenly I have no money coming in at all, even though I worked full time for almost 30 years. Okay, so my OH works, albeit not earning much but that is not the point at all. We'd probably be better off if he didn't.

Hi there,

I am on CB ESA Work RElated Group and as I understand it my payments should end on the 21 st December. I have received no notification other than today I got an ESA50 which it strikes me there is no point in completing. What do people think?

Ultimately the decision is yours, I assume that you have checked that you are not eligible for Income Related ESA!

You remain eligible for ESA, just not entitled to payment. As a result you will continue to receive NI Credits that count towards your receiving a full State Pension, also, if at any time in the future your condition deteriorates such that you meet the criteria for the Support Group, you can ask to be re-assessed, and if successful your ESA(CB) payments will be re-instated.

If you close your claim, you are no longer eligible for the above.
