DLA Medical was created by TTD
I received a letter today telling me that I'm to have my DLA home medical next Friday.

Now that ATOS are involved in this, I'm wondering if the DLA medicals are as bad (or good  !) as the ESA medicals? Does anyone know?

Thanks in advance.

Hi TTD,

You are allowed to have someone present when your assessment is carried out, they can also take notes on the proceedings.

The ATOS HCP, may wish to look around your home, and may do this by asking to go to the loo etc.

If you have any adaptations, it may well be worthwhile making him/her aware of them.

Have you read this ? : DLA medical examination

Good luck.

Yes, I'm aware of them trying to look in every room, and my husband, who is my carer, will be with me. I've also read all the official articles and links on this site.

It's more the personal views which I was looking for, if there are any  .

When I had mine in July under the right payment programme it lasted just under an hour. The Dr asked questions such as do I go to the supermarket and do I ever pop to the corner shop for a pint of milk. He also asked do I drive then about hobbies and stuff like that. He felt my legs and made me walk a few steps. He never asked to go to the toilet.
