I assume that your daughter is currently on IB? The ESA50 (limited capacity for work questionaire) that you have received will be due to the switching of all claimants from IB to ESA. Unlike IB, no-one is automatically entitled to this without going through the reassessment process regualarly. I understand that it must be a shock if this just dropped through the letterbox! Usually DWP make contact a couple of weeks in advance to tell claimants what is happening.

You will have 4 weeks to get this form completed and submitted. I suggest that you read through the ESA guide on this site and also the FAQs relating the to migration process

After that, it you ave any more questions please ask tem on this thread and we will do our best to help :)

The transfer process started in March 2011 and it is expected that no-one will remain on IB by March 2014. So yes, this is a normal process. Our guides are very helpful and will take you through the application, step by step.

Just to add to MHB's good advice, you may wish to consider using the PDF ESA50, which can be downloaded and saved to your P.C. from this page :

Using The PDF Version Of The ESA50 Questionnaire

Also with respect to the above, see :

From : ESA FAQ’s

And : Sending Documents to the DWP or ATOS
