Transfer from DLA to PIP was created by carmind
Are there any clues yet about what will happen to benefit payments for people currently in receipt of DLA who are turned down for PIP. If they appeal, will there be an interim payment during the apppeal process, as with IB to ESA?

Whilst there has been no specific comment on this, I can't see why it would be any different from the current situation with DLA, that if your award is removed, then there are no payments made during an appeal.

The situation with ESA is very different, first ESA is paid for those unable to work due to disability, whereas DLA is paid to enable those with a disability to be able to fully participate in society, including their working, if able. To reflect this, the ESA legislation actually includes wording that requires the Assessment rate to be paid during an appeal.

As a senior Moderator for over 7 years with B & W, I am responsible for keeping members up to date on the transition from DLA to PIP.

You can keep up-to-date on latest information by reading the information in the Spotlights are of the forum HERE

Plus, by reading PIP in the blue area of the forum on the forum homepage at the left of the page

Currently, the Spotlights area of the forum is the latest information available at present. However, the DWP have not yet released what the amount of PIP that will be payable.

I will post it in Spotlights as soon as the figures are released.

Hope this helps.
