New timetablers on Work programme was created by micksville
With regard to this months updated timetables for ESA claimants to be referred to the work programme. I am on a mixture of IR and CB Esa WRAG ( CB ends in March)...I have my next WFI in January and I suspect that although I am not due for review until December 2013 I might be required to go on the Work Programme sometime soon.
Am I right in assuming the work programme could involve updating a CV and training courses etc as opposed to being put on a work placement. ( Am I confusing that with 4 week mandatory work activity)..Lastly, do the rules still apply for ESA WRAG claimants that a work provider cannot force a claimant to apply for a job or to actually work as such? With the new sanctions regime I am a little concerned at perhaps being coerced into something a provider sees as reasonable ( re: my condition) but I see as unresaonable.

Hi MV,

Things are definately changing with regards to ESA WRAG recipients and The Work Programme.

WRA can involve writing CV's etc, but there is no absolute definition of what WRA involves, see :

Work Focussed Interviews

&

Work Programme

And our new FAQ : Changes to ESA Sanctions

Further, have a look at this document posted on Rightnet :

www.dwp.gov.uk/docs/work-programme-memo-082.pdf

As you will see, they are supposed to take into account, any "Reasonable Adjustments" that the WRAG recipient may need, as a result of their limitations and/or disabilities.
