Hi

No it wasnt my first one,i had previously supplied them for approx one and a half years. Because of the slow process of dwp and appts with atos,my gp made this one 6 months. I have arranged for a new one to be sent.
Thankyou for all your help. I think you all do a wonderful service for us all. I have very little understanding of how the "system" works. So far i have found everything very helpful and you have made things much easier for me to obtain help with.
A big thankyou to you all !

Hi G,

It looks like you hit the quote and submit buttons at the same time as I hit the edit and submit buttons. :)

Over to you.

There's still going to be duplicate posts, but I can already see a significant reduction in them since we started following Steve's request.

Hi T,

Where the other sicknotes from some time ago, before you were found fit for work recently and had the need to appeal ? if so, my comments regarding 3 months, 3, months, 6 months or more, would still stand.

I had been on IB since December 2002, In 2011 i attemtped to return to work. I lasted 6 months. Fortunatly i fell just within the limit to be placed straight back on IB without a medical. I recieved my assessmnet in august. Had it in october and scored the 12 points. So i had supplied sicknotes from when i was put back on IB in 2011. The assessment was horrendous and all the usual rubbish written ,which wasnt true hence i failed.

My GP is supportive as is My MP. They are both going to act for me with my appeal.
I am very hopeful all will be ok and i wont have the stress of the appeal process for too long.

Hi T,

It's good to hear that you have the support of your G.P. and M.P.

Yes, I understand that you may have had to provide MED Certs whist on IB. However, your IB has now been superceded to The WCA of ESA, and under that WCA, you were found fit for work.

Therefore, the issuing, of Med Certs now as a result of your appeal could be viewed as a fresh cycle, therefore the 3 months, 3 months, 6 months or more rules may well apply.

To be on the safe side, it may be best to obtain a MED 3 from your G.P. for 3 months periods in the first and second instances. After the first 6 months, if your appeal has not been resolved your G.P. can then safely issue a MED 3 for 6 months or more.
