New to this forum one of the best on the web had medical this week as been on incapacity benefit as have asthma and bad angina 60 next year do not know what will happen next do anyone know how long it will take before you hear anything

Welcome to Benefits and Work

It appears that your post seems to have slipped through unanswered, from this afternoon.

There will now be a wait, until the DWP Decision Maker decides whether or not you are entitled to ESA in either The WRAG or Support Group, you could also be found fit for work.

You should receive a letter informing you of the decision. However, it is not possible to give a definitive answer on how long this may take, as it varies greatly from one individual to another.

You "MAY" receive a phonecall from The DWP DM, if he is considering finding you fit for work, this would be to see whether you can offer any further evidence that may change his mind.

So it is purely a waiting game now. In the interim you may wish to review our : IB, IS, SDA, Migration to ESA FAQ’s , ESA FAQ’s and our : ESA Guides .

Please return to this thread, once you have a decision, if you have any further questions.
