Can I please clarify a post by what appears to be B & W member posting
on another disability related site which I cannot name for legal reasons. The post stated that I was claiming to be a solicitor touting for business.

Can I make it clear that I am NOT and never have claimed to be a solicitor as I do not have an LLB, nor have I worked for a solicitor and completed a post graduation 3 years course.

I can however, claim to be a lawyer, as even a post grad law student can do this.

To put the recored straight, I have a BSc in Social Science, am a member of the Social Security Law Practitioners Association, a Fellow of the Institute of Welfare and have a MA in Social Welfare Law, which includes Social Security Law, Housing, Employment and Consumer Protection Law. Therefore I have the right to call myself a Welfare Rights Lawyer, which I rarely do.

I hope this clarifies the situation.

Jim,

I am horrified to read that another B & W member would post on another site implying that you are a solicitor touting for business.

I have been a member of B & W for some years now and have NEVER seen any post by you, which would suggest or imply that you are a solicitor, let alone touting for business.

I would just like to say that I appreciate your expertise in the workings of Tribunals and your general knowledge of disability rights and I think that I speak for most if not all the remaining B & W members when I say that I am so grateful for this forum and the invaluable service that you and the other moderators provide. I'd like to take this opportunity to wish you all a very happy and peaceful Christmas!!
