ATOS ESA medical unattending form was created by SoulMan
Hi

I rang ATOS on Monday to try and re-book my medical for ESA because i was attending the funeral of a relative who passed away the week before. They told me that i could not rebook it again because i have already re booked it once in the past, he said that he would leave a note on the computer to say i was attending a funeral and that a form would be sent out to be to fill in with my reason for not attending and if they believe the reason is of good cause they will then rebook the appointment.

He told me the forms usually arrive within a couple of days, but i am a little worried about the post at this time of year im worried that it might arrive late meaning i can't get it back in time, assuming there is a time they will want it back which is what i would like to ask on here.

Can anybody give me any information about this form and how long you get to send it back?

Hi SM,

I would be very careful here.

As far as I am aware ATOS will only let claimants rearrange once, this is the first time that I have heard of such forms being sent out to claimants for the reasons given.

Other people have been misinformed by ATOS in similar situations, and have had their benefit stopped for non attendance.

My best advice would be to E-mail ATOS, and gain written confirmation that what you have been told over the phone is true.

I would not advise anybody to take what they are told over the phone by ATOS or The DWP as fact, it is always better to have someting in writing as a backup, even an E-mail.

I would certainly not leave it in abeyance.

Hi SM,

As long as you are happy that everything is legitimate, then it will be your informed decision, on how to proceed.

I do hope all turns out O.K. :)

All the best for Xmas & NY. :)

I just got a reply from atos via email

Thank you for your email. I have asked the ****** Resource team to send you a replacement BF223 form to complete, if in the meantime the original one arrives, please could you complete this and return it to the address provided with the form, and ignore the replacement one,

Well at least its been acknowledged by them that i have not yet received the form and that a replacement has been sent out. so i should get at least one of them soon LOL

Meryy Christmas and happy new year to you too, and everybody else :)

I would also like to just say a big thank you for the entire benefits and work team. for running this site, I can not stress enough how much this site and all of its information has helped me, Without it they could quite easily confuse and mislead me from my path of genuine entitlement to benefits

For you guys to run a site like this you have to be truly passionate and love what you do i am truly grateful. :)

Hi SM,

It is really good that you have obtained written confirmation. :)

At least if there are any problems now, you have written evidence.

Thank you very much for your kind comments regarding all at B&W, they are much appreciated.

All the best. :)
