No money into my bank account

My friend had this with their ESA payments, for the first two payments.
Nothing showed up in the bank, when it should of.
You will have to ring the number on your ESA award letter, which will actually be a call centre.
Don't expect to get it resolved quickly, (although you may be lucky) the phone responders are simply that, they will have your details on screen.
It took one and a half working days in both cases, you will probably have to escalate, in which case you should be called back within the hour. It is hard to get any action though until you manage to get to speak to someone who knows what they are doing.
Once this happened the money was in the friend's bank within the hour.
Apparently there were major problems last week, wherein 9000 claimants did not get paid. Problems also occur due to the ESA payments system being piggy backed onto the JSA payment system which operates differently.
It seems once payments stop which would have been the case with your IB claim, which would have been closed down, difficulties can occur in starting up the ESA payments.
