work good interviews

my o/h has been placed in the work activity group-and is appealing the decision. he has had a letter come through telling him to go to a work related interview.
he tried phoning and asking if it could possibly be changed to a phone interview as he is really not coping with any of this- i don't want to go into detail about how not coping - and the person he spoke to was very unhelpful said extremely rare they ever do anything except face to face and he would get the person who he is supposed to have the interview with to phone him back. they haven't and he is too anxious to phone again-and I'm worse then him with dealing with them so no help.
if he has to go in just what are they likely to make him do please?

Sorry to hear of your O/H's problems.

You can request that the WFI's are carried out over the phone, deferred, or carried out in your home.

However, the three options mentioned above are purely discretionary, and you can not insist on them. Sometimes enlisting the support of your G.P. can help.

They must also take into account your O/H's limitations as a result of the medical conditions, and make reasonably adjustments where needed.

Your O/H can also be accompanied.
