DLA and carer benefit was created by Pipp
I receive DLA HRM and MRC. It is an indefinite award. If someone applies for Carer Benefit for the. Amount of assistance they provide to me is it likely to trigger a review of my DLA? As I think I will be left alone in the reassessment of DLA to PIP until October 2015, I don't want to bring this ordeal any closer.

Thanks

Hi PC,

It shouldn't do.

Carers Allowance is administered by the Carers Allowance Unit.

They are generally very helpful and sympathetic, far moreso than most DWP departments.

I totally agree with Bro's reply based on my experience.

Thank you, both bro58 and Jim.

The reason I asked is that the section of the Carer Allowance form I have to sign states that DLA claim might be looked at. In view of the change to PIP being imminent, I don't want to give any reason to reassess me now. Too busy with ESA appeal and complaining to hospital to get the treatment I have been in need of for over a year. Taking on another challenge could contradict my argument that I am not capable of work related activity! :) :S
