esa medical was created by dylan1
My brother has extreme mental health problems and is migrating from IB to esa. Has got medical appointment and will not/does not feel able to go.

This was pointed out in esa50, where I claimed exceptional circumstances rule should come in force, and be placed in support group.

What can we do now?

I am afraid that once an assessment has been deemed to be required, then there is no way to avoid attending.

If it will help, you could request a home medical, but you will need the assistance of your brother's GP who will need to write to ATOS explaining why he cannot attend at their premises.

I have to warn you that failing to attend an assessment can result in the claim being closed, so it is really important to find a way for your brother to attend.
