hi all,i got a phone call this morning from JC about my wfi meet on Monday,we talked for a while and I do not want to go to this meet as I don't think I should need to,she said that all she wanted to talk about was my health because ive been on ib for 19 years they don't know much about my health  I then said surely we could have this conversation right now as she is the person that will take the interview,no she said that I have to go, she then said that after I miss a couple of meets sanctions will apply, the question i need answered will I be able to get that money back if I win my appeal to go into the support group, and if they do cut my money who notifys the the tax centre as I get taxed on my pension?

Hi p67,

The JCP adviser can carry out WFI's over the phone, in your home, or they can be deferred.

However, these options are at their discretion, and you cannot insist on them.

See : Work Focussed Interviews

&

Work Programme

Sanctions can be applied for failure to comply with WFI's and WRA, see :

Changes to ESA Sanctions

However, only the DWP DM can apply sanctions, and you would have to be informed in writing, which would include your right to appeal. (seperate issue to your current appeal)

If your appeal, is successful and you are placed into The SG, then this SG award will be backdated to the time of The WRAG award that you have appealed.

You should receive any backpayment of monies owed from that date, which should include any money that you may not have received due to you originally being placed into The WRAG.

See also : 12 Month Limit for ESA(CB)

I cannot comment on your tax issues.
