Hi all. I have received my medical report form back with all other info that was sent by me. It states that my prognosis that a return to work could be considered within 12 months. It also says the available evidence was from the ESA850 Med 3 and 113. Could someone please tell me what a Med 3 is? I have seen the 113 that the doc filled in but don't know what a med 3 is.
When my next form comes, which should be around May time, can I remit the same info that I wrote last time? I will also have to add on that I now have obstructive sleep apnea that isn't controlled and it results in me nodding off at anytime.
Thanks.

A Med 3 is a Statement of Fitness for Work (the 'new' name for a sick note).

Hope this helps.

A Med-3 is a Fit Note (it used to be Sick Note), normally issued by your GP.

Yes, you can send in the same information next time, but you might want to give some thought to explaining why your condition has not improved since the last assessment.

Just to add to the above advice - many members have been rather perplexed by mention of Med3 as they have not had to submit a sick-note for years, having be on IB for this length of time. This seems to be standard sentance on the form and doesn't neccessarily mean that there actually was a Med3!

thanks Gordon. I don't understand how my doc sent a sick note when i haven't been to ask for one. Or do doctors send the DWP one once they've filled the 113 in?
