Found out my date for Tribunal was created by sandra
I had a phone call today off my representative to say she has received a letter from the Tribunal Service letting her know when my appeal hearing date would be. It was the first I've heard about it,because I haven't received one. Goodness Knows where my letter has gone but at least I now now it will be on March 7th and I am terrified to say the least. I am panicking now so goodness knows what state I will be in by then.So wish me luck

Hi s,

Try not to worry too much, they are quite informal affairs, there will be a Chairman, and a Doctor, there are only two on an ESA Appeals Panel rather than the three on a DLA panel.

You are allowed a companion.

Have a look at this "Mock" ESA Appeal video, it may help to stop you worrying. :)

MOJ Video of ESA Appeals Process and Tribunal

Good luck, and please keep us updated.

Thank you. I rang the tribunal service to check if they had received the letters from Atos recommending reconsideration that DWP said they forwarded to an appeal writer and they said thats not the tribunal,as an appeals writer was a decision Maker. So rang DWP and they said that it hasn't been looked at yet. I told them about tribunal date and asked if they would be looing at this before the date and she could not tell me when they would loo at it My head is going round in circles.

Hi s,

The DWP DM's do somtimes reconsider an appeal twice, once initially when the appeal is submitted, and then again shortly before the Tribunal Hearing.

One member did state that the DWP do sometimes refer to DM's in this scenario, as "Appeals Officers".

Maybe, this is the case here.
