Preparation for PIP was created by sitterum
I’ve been looking at my scanned copies of old DLA and ESA forms that I originally sent in for my wife and son sometime ago. I’m trying to get prepared for their transferring from DLA to PIP.

We now have the scoring system for PIP, so I’m presuming the questions will based on the title of each category. My query is: will it be OK to use the same answers one has given for ESA, to the relevant questions for PIP?

If your answers are comprehensive and you can’t improve on their content, why not copy and paste your ESA answers; sure we can put things a little different, but then it’s just syntax and word play...If you can’t better your answers stick to what you’ve got

Thoughts?

It is going to be some time before people on DLA are 'invited' to apply for PIP, not until 2015 at the earliest for anyone with an indefinite award. In that time I would expect that we will get a much better idea of how things will work and how the descriptors will be interpreted.

However, in theory, I see no reason why you should not use parts of your ESA claim for PIP in situations where the descriptors are identical.

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Yes you’re right, I just read the PIP timetable, and its seems I experienced somewhat of a senior moment :) yet I do wonder if the government will stick to their timetable.

My personal concern is, that as my wife and son have the same surname, I may be asked to complete PIP forms for them at the same time, plus the fact I’m not sure what the time limit will be for completion of the form itself
