MY D DAY IS NEARc.... was created by Buckie
My D day is fast approaching now, and reading the posts in ere I’m getting a bit worried now. I have no medical notes or evidence that’s readily available for the medical to back up my history ! I hurt my back some 30 years ago and have worked ever since (sure I’ve medical notes from the time of my accident and the operations I’ve had, but they would take time to get from the surgeons involved)
However the past 5 years has been a nightmare with the pain from my back increasing. Although I still worked through it, my doctor kept my medication increasing to allow me to carry on working, until such a time I could hardly walk into his office. My GP, then refused to sign my medical so I couldn’t work ! I signed on the sick for the first time in my life in December just past. !

I was informed it was ESA I was on, and now I must attend a medical to see if I’m fit for work ? My GP will not sign my medical for me to return to work, even if I could, and they are to asses me to see if I’m fit for work…

I’ve also an Appeal being considered for DLA, no doubt I’ll need a medical for that too ? It seems a hell of a lot of work and effort for £70 a week.. I’d like to know how the Government think were just scroungers, or layabouts, I give anything to get back to work, even though I’ve only 8 years before I retire !!!

I’m dreading this medical for all I’ve read and heard ….
