ESA success was created by Katykat
After failing first medical in May 2010, I won my appeal in May 2011, placed in WRAG. ESA 50 again and assessment in Dec 2011, WRAG continued but ATOS Dr's clinical notes suggested support group with the prognosis "unlikely to return to work in the longer term" this gave me the impetus to appeal. After much delay and following a complaint to DWP ( and receiving an apology) I won my latest appeal and was awarded suppot group with recommendation that I wasn't assessed for 2 yrs. I didn't place much fIth in the recommendation. However, I phoned DWP on Tues and they told me that I would get my backpay soon and my next assessment would be Feb 2015. I got the backpay today. I'm very pleased with the back pay as I've had no ESA since last April ( used my 365 days) but more chuffed that I won't be reassessd for 2 yrs. mind you, I'm not 100% confidant of this, I simply dont trust them. Anyway, I'm a happy bunny today.

Hi Katykat
Congratulations on your Appeal result :) I am very pleased for you, well done, try to have a break from it all as I know just how mentally stressful the whole system is.
Enjoy the back pay also, if only we could turn the tables on this government and put them where we all are and put them through the same system ... only if !!!

Relax now and get your strength back you deserve it from all you have been through.

Regards, Derek
