ESA - keep on losing paperwork was created by annette wills
I made a claim in January. They never received the paperwork or medical certificate. Re did the paperwork on the phone. Sent in new medical certificate last week as requested. Called today, they have not received it! Burst into tears on the phone and really dont understand how they cannot have received this twice now. I have to send them in another as mine had expired but all this is delaying the date of my claim and I do not know what to do as there is nothing I can do about it

Welcome to B&W if you have not already done so, you might want to have a look at the following FAQ

Welcome to Benefits and Work

I also note that your forum name may also be your real name, see

My full name is showing, how can I stop it?

I am afraid there is little we can help with in regard what has already been reported as lost, however, as to future postings.

Have you confirmed the address that you are sending the documents to? Some members have sent information to their local JC+ office rather than a DWP Benefit Delivery Centre.

Have you any proof of posting? You can get a certificate of posting at no extra charge, or use Recorded Delivery which allows you to track you psot.

You need to include your full name, date of birth, and National Insurance Number on all documents that you send to the DWP.

The DWP operate maildrop centres, that then distribute the post onto the individual offices, this can can take days to happen and in some cases weeks, post has to then be logged into the DWP systems.

ESA claims can be backdated upto three months, if you have not done this then you might want to amend your claim, your Fit Notes will need to cover you over this period.
