ESA APPEAL - FROM WRAG TO SUPPORT GROUP was created by harmony1
Can anybody tell me what i can do to help myself at my appeal. I suffer with severe depression, panic disorder and misophonia ( hypersensitivity to noise) i am in receipt of high rate dla and have been placed in wrag, i asked for a reconsideration from dwp to be placed in the support group and sent in excellent medical evidence via registered post. The dwp lost my medical evidence and are now putting me through the appeal process. My psychiatric nurse that i have had for over two years, left for a new job and i have been given a new one who doesn't know me well enough to speak up for me. I suffer with my nerves and my mind goes blank under pressure. Any advice please.

In notice you only joined in November, so did you use our guides to complete your ESA50, even if you did it may still be of value to go back to them to see whether you could explain your condition more inline with the Support Group Descriptors.

Have a look at the following FAQs, which explain more about the appeal process and preparing for it.

Disability Rights UK Factsheet - Appeals and reconsiderations

Preparing for a Tribunal

Have you considered asking for a copy of your medical records from your GP Surgery, there may be information, such as letters from your previous psychiatric nurse that would be of assistance.

Requesting your medical records

Charging for medical records

Please also have a look at our ESA Appeal guide
