ESA50 form Hard of hearing was created by Katie
Hi,
I am in the process of filling in ESA 50 form. Am I right in thinking that I will not be awarded points for being hard of hearing as I can read.
Thanks again

If this is a new ESA50 (13-01) then I think it very unlikely that you would score points, if it is the previous version (11-03) then I would still say it is unlikely, but that should not stop you completing this question on the form if you think it relevant.

Hi Gordon,
I have problems with my balance and I am up 2 to 3 times a night. I have this problem during the day and can't go out on own, I am also sick and have to change my clothes. I am so worried I also fall, I am not allowed to cook or shower myself. I receive high rate care.
I am so worried I will not get any points. Any advice would be helpful.

Unfortunately, ESA does not consider the claimants health as a whole, but rather looks at specific areas, for example your hearing, but as you have already seen this may still not be as simple as it seems.

My best advice is for you to read the ESA Claim Guides in the Members Only area, as these will explain what the requirements for each question on the ESA50 are, and how you might map your conditions onto them.
