Hi everyone

I am new to the forum but have been browsing for a while. I have been helping my sister to get moved from WRAG to the Support group since the whole process started for her last May, long story short, my Sister suffers chronic mental health problems since the murder of her 19 year old Daughter 6 years ago. We appealed the WRAG decision and today she has received a letter telling her they have looked at her claim again and found in her favour, which is of course wonderful news, however, after all the usual blah blahs she read a paragraph that caught my attention, '' We may need to look at your claim again in 2 to 4 years'' !!! I have never seen or heard of this 2 to 4 years decision before either here on this forum or anywhere else. is this new ?

thank you

Hi,

Well done on helping to get your sister get into The SG !!!! :woohoo:

Every ESA award whether in The WRAG or SG comes with a recommended length of time before reassessment.

This is known as The Prognosis.

All ESA recipients will face regular reassessments.

3 years is the longest prognosis that we are aware of, so this 2 to 4 years seems to fall in line with that.

See : How often will I be reviewed , from our : ESA FAQ’s .
