Hi ,contribution based esa is due to run out on March 20th. Had I not phoned the DWP i would not have know. I have filled in and sent off a form for income based ESA since I have no savings and live alone. Will the ESA be cut off automatically ? Should I keep ringing them to chivy them along? I am concerned that I will have no money mid March.

It may be advisable to keep giving them a "gentle nudge". If you are entitled to IR ESA, you will be paid this from the date that your CB ESA payments cease.
