ESA Appeal

Thanks for the advice I was given yesterday. I phoned the DWP today. I had a very strange conversation with them. They did not seem to know if it was at reconsideration stage, or appeal stage! In my previous letter they had decided that they would ignore my request for any medical evidence and decision notes on my claim. I asked her why this was not sent to me, she did not seem to know. She said she didnt think they could provide the medical evidence! Not sure if thats true is it?

I asked her how long I had to prepare this info, she replied 6-12 months. I then said, but I thought you had said that it was not at appeal stage, it was reconsideration, so isnt that a month? It sounds to me that the DWP have no idea what they are doing.

Is it a month I have to prepare this information? Or are they just steaming ahead without this info?

Can they with hold the medical evidence from me?

If it goes to appeal will they give me more info then on how it all works?
