DLA and updated x ray was created by shandy
I returned my DLA renewal form on 28th February 2013. I have Multiple Myeloma which is an incurable cancer of the blood. I also put onto the form that I also had a torn cartledge in my knee, however after an x ray the diagnosis is now osteoarthritis.
My question is should I tell them about the new diagnosis before I have received my new decision or leave it until I get the decision back.

Hi s,

Yes, you could send confirmation of this new diagnosis, to the same address as you sent your DLA renewal form to.

However, even though documentation that proves you suffer from a particular medical condition helps, it is the resulting Mobility limitations and/or Care needs that may or may not qualify you for an award of DLA.

It certainly shouldn't do any harm. :)
