Failed ESA Appeal was created by soulboy
Hi further to an earlier Q I was placed in the WRAG after being on IB I appeal to get in the Support group but my appeal was refused my Question is can I try and Claim ESA IR after being told I am not entitled to ESA after the appeal ? Or are both the same thing

Hi sb,

The type of ESA that you are entitled to IR ESA or CB ESA, has nothing to do with which ESA group you are placed in (WRAG or SG)

If you CB ESA has ceased due to the 365 day limit to entitlement, you can request that you are financially assessed by The DWP, to see whether you can pass the "Means Test" with respect to household income, assets, capital and savings.

This would generally be done by filling in an ESA 3 Form, which you should request from the Benefits Office dealing with your ESA.
