Length of CB ESA in support group

Hi all, I was very recently migrated from IB to CB ESA and placed in the support group. In a conversation with someone at jcp today I was told that CB ESA is limited to 365 days even for those in support group. When I queried this he insisted this was correct and applied to everyone. Everything I have read on your site would contradict this i.e. that there is no time limit for CB ESA for those in support group. I hope you may be able to reassure me regarding this . Many thanks

It sounds as if you were exposed to another poorly-trained DWP (telephone?) operative! You are correct in thinking that time in the Support Group is unlimited on Contributary ESA.

Hi yes this was in a telephone conversation. Stunned they can give out such inaccurate information. Didn't want to spend the bank holiday worrying about it. Thank you for putting my mind at rest.
