My 23 year old son's ESA award is up for renewal, he had previously been placed in the support group for a couple of years.
I have to return the ESA50 form by 8 April, and I wondered whether I should be getting him a fit note again and sending it to the JobCentre Plus, or are these only required when the initial claim is made?

Unless he has been specifically asked to provide one, then he does not, He remains in the Support Group until a new Decision on his claim is made.
