ESA / MOBILISING was created by shrinathji
Hello All,

Been a while since i have posted, but have regularly read posts on the forum and have had many of my own queries answered.

However, i have one with regards to mobilising. My friend has fabromyalgia and Complex Regional Pain Syndrome ( CRPS ) Type 11 to her left leg, cervical and lumbar spondylosis, as well as breathlessness and is in receipt of DLA H/C and H/M indefinately.

She is still on IB and is awaiting her transfer onto ESA and has already started to fill out the new ESA PDF version.

She, like alot of other members is stuck on the mobilising question. With regards to walking, she is in pain even before she attempts to walk any distant due to above mentioned conditions.

What would be the best way for her to fill out this part???

Should she leave the tick boxes blank and thoroughly explain her problems, as she can just about manage 3/4 yards and she has to stop!!!!

Furthermore, i shall be really grateful if members with similiar conditions have managed to gain S/G can please advise as this will definately be helpful as she is really worried that her conditions will not be taken seriously.

Many thanks.

Radhika.

Hi radhika,

Your friend needs to make sure that she is not saying that she can do more than she actually can. If none of the tick-boxes accurately reflect her abilities then she should leave the boxes free and explain her problems in the free-text box.

Many Thanks, Mrs H,

That is what i advised her, but just needed a second opinion.

Furthermore, i forgot to mention that as a result of her strong medication, she had a really bad stumble, which left her with 2 broken toes and had to go to A&E, would it be worth her mentioning this oh the form???

Thanks.

Radhika.

It is always worth mentioning this kind of thing, it won't do any harm.
