Late ESA Appeal

I went approx 3 months ago for an ATOS meeting and heard approx 7 weeks ago that I have been placed in the WRAG, which I disagree with! At the same tiime our granddaughter has been removed by Social Services, because our daughter cannot cope with her own life, let alone look after a young child. Social services made it VERY clear that we (my wife & I) would NOT be allowed to bring up our granddaughter under any circumstances. So she has now been placed for adoption & we have no say in the matter. They would only give us a couple of very minor reasons, so we still do not know fully know the reasons for this. As I hope you may understand this has put us under enormous stress, because of this, many things were placed on the back burner. Consequently, my appeal letter has only just gone in. In your opinion(s) is this a sufficient reason for the late appeal request & letter?

DWP seem to be accepting late appeals without any problem so, hopefully, your case will go through in the same manner.

I appealed against a decision made in June 2011, I did not send in the appeal until June 2012 because of health problems. My appeal was accepted and I won the appeal as well.
