Initial phonecall before sending ESA form to me

The phone call is to check that you have received the letter, this confirms that the address on file is correct and to check whether you have any questions on the transfer process, it will not be a telephone interview, although it may feel like it is
You do not need to take the call, or to phone the DWP to confirm receipt of the letter.
If you do not, the DWP will assume the address is correct and move to the next stage of the transfer which is to issue an ESA50, you should expect to receive this within 10-14 days and should contact the DWP if you do not.
