hi i am still wading my way through my first claim form for DLA, Stamped to be returned by 11th june.

im a bit confused as i thought PIP was coming in on 10TH of june.

I obviously want to try and catch the DlA rather than PIP-providing i can get it there for 11th june, are they obliged to process the DLA form?

Can you appeal a DLA decison ?
Im thinking that i will do my best to get all the information onto my DLA form, but i f i run out of time is it best to just send it in to the best i can manage to catch the DLA and then appeal later?

The DLA unit need to be in receipt of your completed DLA forms by the 11 June, if they are then they should process it as a DLA claim, if they are not then it is possible that the application will be rejected and you will have to re-apply but for PIP.

You can appeal a DLA Decision.

Hi n,

If you can get it completed to the best of your ability by first thing Monday 10/06/13, you could post it (first thing) by guaranteed next day delivery.

It can be a little expensive, but at least if the DLA Claim is accepted and processed as a DLA Claim, and you receive an adverse decision, you could appeal it as a DLA Appeal.

Sending Documents to the DWP or ATOS
