I am writing on behalf of my son who has had 3 appointments cancelled for his medical assessment to let the dwp know( as you advise). However is there any rulings regarding making reasonable adjustments regarding attendance times for this ,as it is impossible for him to leave the toilet until early afternoon because of his disabilities This is all documented on his esa50 which we completed again in a bid for a reassessment to the support group. Also just got a request that he advise if he wishes to now be considered for pip, which he has done The appointments have been changed 3 times for his medical assessment once for 9am in the morning

The best way to avoid inappropriate times for the assessments is to agree them over the phone with the Assessment Provider, if you leave it to them then the computer will just book the first available appointment.
You do need to be careful, he is only allowed to rearrange the appointment once, he must then attend any new appointment or he risks his file being returned to the DWP for failing to attend, which could mean his ESA claim is closed.
The PIP claim process is separate from ESA, so you will receive a PIP2 claim form and there is a strong prospect that he will be asked to attend a face to face for this as well.

I have spoken to them on the phone and they have agreed to an appointment which allows for reasonable adjustments to be made in the timings of his medical due to his disabilities, they have also agreed that they are providing a taxi to the centre, this however does not make any mention of our written request for a recording to be made.

Son received letter today advising that his medical due for Tuesday afternoon has been cancelled and that there was no requirement for him to attend a medical Does this mean that they will be assessing his claim on paperwork?

Yes it does. ESA Decision are taking about 203 weeks in most areas.

uh-oh
it seems that they have stopped my sons Esa as they discovered he had been working on as a contact for a local club taking telephone bookings for 6 hours a week from his home. What does he need to do ? He is not really up to this challenge. He has bee in a state and thought that they now realised his circumstances How long will they refuse his ESA? What will happen now?
