ESA is not decided on whether or not someone can work, whether there is any job they could actually do or whether anyone would employ them. It is entirely down to meeting the ESA descriptors, which is not always the same thing.

Have you tried getting your MP involved? Sometimes they can put a rocket up the derriere of DWP and get things moving!

Hi I'm a bit concerned.
I have posted somewhere I can't find the post
I received an interview/assessment at quarry house.
My husband called the appointments line to say she's not really fit enough and could I have a home visit, the lady was nice she said if you get a letter from your doctor ... saying your too ill he wasn't keen. he said I will send her pip decision along with an indepth report from professor.......as I have just been to see a new rheumatologis who was the most straight forward doctor I've ever come across. he wrote this lady shows a plethora health issue his words pain in every joint.
I received a letter saying you don't need to go to the assessment centre and you don't need an assemdent for the time being. Does this mean I'm in the support group or is it wishful thinking x

Many Thanks Cx

You can always find your latest posts by clicking on your user name in the forum.

I'm afraid you cannot assume at this stage that you have been placed in the Support Group, a recommendation without a face to face only means that you cannot be found Fit for Work. It doesn't mean that you won't be put in the SG, just that you have to wait for the Decision. ESA Decisions usually take 2-3 weeks.

Thanks for the reply!
I phone carers allowances today I received a letter telling me my husband had started a claim for carers allowance and if I wanted to discuss anything to call them.
They said they have asked the esa department for information on my entitlement and sort of who's paying what with regards to backpay they have three weeks so it shouldn't be long carers starts on Monday when esa get back in touch all the backpay will be sorted out.
I hope I'm in support group we have lived on £114.10 a week since March we have a mortgage and had no Mortgage support so we're in big trouble it will take a long time to get out of this mess. Thanks again x

Many Thanks Cx
