I have finally completed my PIP2 form.

After 16 days where I've worked at it 2-3 hours each day and 12-16 hours over each weekend I'm completely fed up with the whole thing. Still, it's done and I'm satisfied with it. I don't think I could add anything more or take anything away.

I've got 17 pages of additional information! All handwritten!! Plus several pages of evidence.

Too much? Well, I've gone into a lot of detail and given lots of examples so, no, I don't think so.

I've photocopied it all and am now off to the post office to send it, recorded delivery, to DWP. Good riddance. At the moment I don't want to think about it ever again.

But it doesn't end there as we all know. Now begins the first stage of a waiting game. Bring on the face to face!

There's no right or wrong information to send with the form, the most important thing is that you feel comfortable with what you are sending.

I have now received a letter from Atos which informs me that my assessment will be on 05/07/2016 at Rochford in Essex. This is a 50 minute drive from home but my friend will drive me. Just want to get it over and done with now. Not sleeping very well at the moment as so worried. This whole process is like some sort of psychological torture.

Hi PhilB,

I'm really interested to read of your journey. I feel very much like you, that it's just torture for us...in several stages.

My forms were returned and received by DWP on June 9th, and I haven't heard anything about an appointment as yet. I too live in the CM area, and when I last had to have an assessment, it was in Chelmsford. I don't know if things have changed, but was really hoping I'd get an appointment in Chelmsford again. I've now got something else to worry about - where I'll have to go for the assessment.

Will follow your journey with interest!

Hi Amanda

There must be thousands of us suffering this psychological torment on top of the issues we already have which have led us to apply for DLA/PIP. It really isn't fair and it's hard to believe that anyone really cares.

I'll be letting you and anyone else reading this thread how I got on after next week's assessment.

Good luck to all!

Hi Phil,

Good luck with the assessment. Fingers crossed it goes well for you.

I'm getting very worried that I still haven't got an appointment....and my current award only lasts until 14th August. I can see more and more stress and worry coming my way as this goes as wrong as things usually do!

Again ... Good luck for next week.
