How long til I hear?

I would definitely have to have someone with me. No way could I attend the appointment alone, I wouldn't even make it out of the house without help. The crazy thing is, they just renewed my DLA without question, when the DLA is only awarded due to my agoraphobia. I only get the lower rate mobility component because of having to ask friends to accompany me to appointments. Yet here they are, expecting me to take a taxi alone for my assess!!! Crazy.......no tie-up between departments.

Finally after 19 weeks of waiting i have a result on my ESA reassessment,

I have remained in the support group without a need for a face to face a assessment

Hopefully its for 3 years again,i will ring the DWP tomorrow For an ESA85A (length of prognosis)

I've now been told I can have a home assessment - phew!

After being told back in JUNE that I can have a home assessment, I am STILL WAITING. They rang me in September asking me to take a last minute cancellation. I said I would only take it if the doctor would be able to tape record the meeting, which was not possible. So they said they would write to me with a scheduled appointment where recording equipment WOULD be available.
Today, a letter arrived giving five days notice of a home visit. I rang to ask if it was definitely going to be tape recorded, to which they said no.
I told them that the whole point of waiting for an appointment in writing was due to wanting the meeting tape recorded. They apologised and said they will re-book for a doctor who can have tape recording equipment but that will be another two to three weeks away.
By the time the assessment takes place, it will be almost ONE YEAR since my ESA50 was first completed........
