They are completely separate processes, your appeal will continue whatever happens with the pending changes to the law.

hi gordon after all these months my reconsideration came back and i was turned down ,still is taking the medical as the main evidence ,said it didn`t matter that part of the evidence was from a doctors report from 2014 ,didnt even consider the two doctors letters that had been sent ,still quote parts of the medical report that i had pointed out where incorrect about the doctors findings of no muscle waste and nerve damage ,i had pointed out that my muscle waste was never checked on that day and that the nerve in my left ankle has been absent for years due to the sciatica yet her report states everything checked out good ,i know you say a lot of people get their reconsideration turned down and that you have a better chance at an appeal ,but at the minute i am totally wore out as i am also going through an appeal fo DLA ,also the medical examiner said i had told her that i can freely go about my everyday life such as getting out of bed ,washing ,housework ,dusting ,doing dishes ,cooking etc ,how is it even possible to refute these claim ,it feels as if all her lies have top priority and what i actually told her have none :(

Helen

Although an appeal should be lodged within a month of the MR Notice, you can make a late appeal up to 13 months after the date of the original Decision, however, you will have to explain why it is late and your reasons can be refused.

:)

You said you were unable to appeal at the moment, I was saying that if you can't at the moment then you can later.

gordon how is it possible to refute what the medical examiner said ,i know you always advise not to get bogged down with the report ,but when the decision maker has made his decision on her lies ,i feel i have to discredit what she wrote to make any headway, but dont know how to do this ,sadly the interview was not recorded
