Revision rates at MR are low, so you should not be to surprised that yours was unsuccessful, as to the DM contacting you, this is not a requirement of the process, sometimes it happens, sometimes it does not.

You will have received an MR Notice with the Decision letter, in fact two copies, the form you need to complete for an appeal will not have been included, however, there is a link for you to download it (it's an SSCS1), in the DLA Appeal guide. The guide explains how to complete the form, you do not need to go into detail at this time. It also explains how the appeal process operates.

Can I just ask - during the MR (and/or if when it goes to Appeal) what happens to the PiP money? Is it still paid or does it stop/placed on hold?

Sorry to chime in but I can't seem to find this information anywhere.

Please don't post in other members topics, if you don't have a current topic of your own, start a new one, it's not fair to the original poster.

To answer your question. If an award is in place then it will continue to be paid, if one is not then no payments will be made until one is made.

You need to contact the DWP for the Mandatory Reconsideration Notices, there should be two enclosed with the new Decision Letter, you cannot make an appeal without an MR Notice.
