gordon,
i think i will take the option of appealing as ive got this far so might as well see it through ,,
you mention making a complaint about the assesor ,,i actualy was thinking of doing that as there are a lot of points she made in her report that were not asked in my assesment ,,
1,,being that she wrote i have support rail in my bathroom and toilet and also on sink, this isnt true and she never even asked me if i had any ,,,
2 being she made comments on most of the descriptors ,that the painkillers i take are a low dose ,,and ive since been told by my gp, that i am on the maximum strength of co codomol ,, as i cannot take naproxen for oestio athritus as the antidepressant i have can cause abnormal bleeding disorders if you take the two combined ,and being a sufferer of aneamia naproxen is out of the question ,
3; same as above she reports that ime on a low antidepressant which wouldnt affect me being able to do certain descriptor .,and again was told by my GP , that the antidepressant i was taking at the time before my assessment was prescribed for my agrophobia ,social anxiety ,and ptsd,, and is not a low dose ,,now ime actualy on the maximum dose you can have ,unless of course i was hospitalised they would then be able to give me a higher dose .4;her observation report said i didnt seem to have any signs of anxiety , nervvousness etc,, which this was untrue as i was constantly breakin into tears was finding it hard and was sweating and shaking which she even made a comment on ,so her observation wasnt correct what she actualy saw to what she wrote down,.
there are lots i disagree with but these are the main ones i feel of importance , would it be worth me writing these points down in my appeal or would it not be relavent to my case,,
and also, i was sent 2 copies of there MR ,, but didnt recieve the form where you send off for a appeal,. are they suppose to send them also..
thanks in advance for any advice,.,

Alison

A complaint needs to be based on factual information so (1) and (4) would be relevant but I think that you will struggle to make a case for (3) and (4).

As to the appeal, have a look at the PIP Appeal guide, it has links to the SSCS1 appeal form that you will need to complete and instructions on how to complete it.

I also had my MR decision letter today. I also received two copies of the decision but was told to download the appeal form myself!

They certainly seem to be doing anything they can to make things difficult for claimants!
