PP, what dates are your assessments? I couldn't seem to find them in past posts, even though I'm sure I read them before! How are you coping? Hope all is well. A

aww thanks p.pete ,, ive not recieved a date through yet so could be another couple of mths yet ,,this been going on since feb now ,seems this year has been nothing but worry and stress which has resulted in my medication been put up to the max now ,,been on a waiting list for past nine mths waiting for psyhotherapy, rang thm few weeks back to be told ime still 20th on the list ,so looks like another 9 mths will pass and ile still be waiting , it ridiculous how people are treated with MH problems ,seems your left to get on with it ,, all drs do is hand you pills out like smarties and u left to it ,i realy know what your going through ,the slightest bit of stress sends me over the edge anyway best of times ,so best advice i can give you is just be yourself when your in the assesment ,dont try and hold back your anxiety it nothing to be ashamed off they need to see the real you ,the very first time ihad a assessment for esa ,i sat there holding back the tears for shames sake as i felt embarrased ,and it did me no favours as i was signed back fit for work,, , and yes i think in my experiance a male HP, has been far more compasionate than a female, ime sure there are kind females wh do there job well also, but ive not been lucky enough to meet one yet,.lol.,

Hello, this is probably gonna sound a really stupid question but can shoes be classed as an aid? Because of bad arthritis in my feet I have to have shoes (with orthotic insoles taylored to my feet) specially made. Doctor sorted this out for me thru NHS.

You would have to show that you cannot walk without them or that the distance you can walk without them is more limited without them than it is with them.

Hi Amanda. ESA Tues. Just been listing things missed off esa50. As you know, not enough room on form or enough time to write extra details in any additional letter. Plus the stress makes it easy to leave important stuff out. Meant to do this letter ages ago but then pip form arrived. As u get more time wi pip form, activities have been explained better so have been lifting details out of that ready to write this letter for stuff missed off Esa50. Still very tired, just need a bl..dy break from it, but fully expecting to have to appeal. Think I babbled a bit there but only to be expected!
