Walker

Sorry to hear that the MR was unsuccessful, revision rates have been steadily been dropping.

The PIP Appeal guide has links to the SSCS1 that you will need to complete and instructions on how to fill it in.

thank you Gordon

I have the form on my laptop now

I have been reading through your appeals booklet

I really don't know what to do for the best
as even finding a tribunal venue and googling it on the map made me start to panic

two questions
do I send in copies of all the evidence previously sent to dwp - to the appeal service with the form? or at a later date?

and
on question 5 reasons for appeal, should I just attach a separate sheet with all the points like I did in my MR letter, or just write a summary and send more later

Hello Walker.
I am so sorry to hear the outcome of your mandatory review has not worked out for you. I can understand how you feel and I suppose the question is do you got for an Appeal and all the stress it brings or not? I am awaiting the outcome of my MR and not holding my breath! I hope whatever decision you make is the best one for you and one you can cope with. Ain't life difficult enough when you are living with a disability without this added stress.

Answering in reverse order

You only have to provide basic reasons for your requesting the appeal with the SSCS1, I would stick to a summary at the moment.

Once your appeal is accepted, the TS will inform the DWP, they will create their submission which will include all of the documents used in the making of the Decision, including but not limited to your PIP2 and anything attached to it and the assessment report, you will receive a copy of this and you can then prepare and send your own submission to the TS, although I would not wait for the DWP bundle before starting this.

Your goal remains you showing the you meet the criteria to score points, it's possible that you have nothing more to say on this than what you submitted for your MR but it is another opportunity for you to check that you have provided the best answers that you could.

There are suggestions in the PIP Appeal guide.
