could anyone give me an idea of the sort of questions asked at an appeal?
my issues are mental health
and I am appealing the mobility - going out/following route/journey

Not really, they will be interested in your abilities to complete the PIP activities, so think about issues with prompting or supervision and if you have issues with compulsive behaviour the time it takes you to complete activities, repetition and doing them to a necessary standard.

Specifically for Going Out (Moving Around only covers physical issues), the activity is broken down into three areas, expect questions about your abilities to complete the following.

Planning a route - this is primarily a cognitive or sensory (e.g. blindness) activity so you may not get much questioning about this.

Undertaking a Journey - this is do with mental health issues such as agoraphobia and social anxiety and is concerned with you leaving the house to go somewhere, they will be interested in the things that stop you doing this. If you can leave the house but risk not getting to your destination then you will be asked about this. You need to show that you would suffer "overwhelming psychological distress" to meet the criteria.

Following a route - the DWP regard this as a cognitive or sensory activity to do with navigating the route, to score for mental health issues you will need to show that your anxiety is so extreme that it would prevent you from actually navigating the route.

this morning I began making notes on the difficulties I have around planning and preparing for journeys, and undertaking them
It made me cry
it is so depressing
I don't know if it will fulfil THEIR idea of the criteria though

Yes, having to repeatedly describe the things you cannot do can be soul destroying :(

I suggest you have another look at the PIP guide for the criteria you hope to score points with so that you fully understand what is being asked for.

ok
so I am freaking out
I have been at mum's for a few days and I have just got back to find a letter saying my tribunal is on 5th December
that is Monday week!!!!
I don't know what to do
it was dated the day I went away so I just missed it and that now leaves me with only a week
and they say they want any additional information 7 days before which of course I cannot do now
I had no idea it would happen so soon
my care coordinator has been on leave and is not back until Monday and will then be so busy that I doubt very much he will be able to come
and I don't know who else can
and the taxi driver I always use cannot do it
and I am sat here in tears
I hate being like this I hate this stupid world
I don't know what to do
and none of you will probably even see this until Monday
panicking

Although the short notice presents problems they are not insurmountable, but you need to get everything sorted as soon as possible.

I'm guessing that you have not posted your submission yet, use today and tomorrow (Sunday) to get it finished as best you can. Remember you need to show why you should score points, so get your PIP2, the assessment report and the PIP Claim guide and make sure that you have shown that you meet the criteria.

You can post the submission on Monday, there is a next day delivery service available, just make sure that you get to the Post Office early as the pick up in my area is around 4:30pm.

Phone your Care Coordinator after lunch on Monday, that way they will have dealt with the pile of paper that is undoubtedly on their desk and will have time to talk to you, if they don't then arrange a time to phone them back.

As to the taxi, you obviously trust the driver, trust them a bit more and get them to recommend another driver and book them.

It's not ideal but it is all doable :)
