Thank you Gordon at the time of my home assessment it states that I can walk 50 metres before onset of severe discomfort although this was 6 years ago and my condition has deteriorated since now I struggle to walk 20 metres and some days can barely walk atall I just hope this would be taken into account as it states that my muscle condition is progressive.

Hi Gordon would it be helpful to my claim to state how much of a lifeline my motorbility car is I cannot use public transport due to steps and gaps and am unable to walk more than 20 metres without being fatigued and in severe pain due to my progressive muscle weakness.

Hi Joany,

You can tie your need for a car in with your mobility difficulties to emphasise your problems. However, the assessor/Decision Maker will not be swayed by your need for the Motability vehicle if you have not adequately demonstrated your difficulties.

White envelope has arrived from Atos for a home assessment I never asked for a home visit so am hoping that this indicates that they realise how severe my condition is? and that it will hopefully go in my favour? I am currently on high rate mobility middle rate care of dla indefinantly.

Had my home assessment with atos the assessor or disability anylist as she introduced herself as was very nice kept apologising saying she wouldn't keep me much longer then just before she left she said that she didn't understand why they had sent her out as it should have been done on a paper based assessmentioned. should I read anything into this?

To be honest no, that doesn't mean that you cannot receive the award you are hoping for, it's just that most comments from the assessor cannot be trusted.
